The Consequences Of Steroid Use

Almost every gym has one; the male who wants just a little extra help when it comes to the muscle building department (culturism). Let’s face it. Building muscle is hard work. For guys who are quite large already, not only do they have to deal with making sure they are hitting the gym regularly to maintain their weight, they also have to start eating enormous proportions of food. For some, it can be quite the challenge. Their grocery bill starts reaching the high triple digits, they are forcing food down even when they are not particularly hungry in order to provide the calories required for growth and they have to constantly be planning out their meals and eating every so often in order to get their daily food intake in. It can make for quite an unpleasant situation. Add to that that muscle gains typically are rather slow and some just do not have the patience for it.

Some of the signs that signify if a person is using steroids (steroizi) are:
-rapid muscle growth
-increased occurrence of acne
-heavy mood swings
-depressive tendencies
-violent behaviour
-increased irritability
-male pattern baldness
-reduction in the size of the male sex organ
-reduced sperm count
-increased chance of gynecomastia (development of male breast tissue)
-high levels of anxiety

So they turn to chemical help to speed the process up. The benefit to this is that they will likely all of a sudden start packing on the weight they had hoped for. Changes will take place that they’ve been trying to accomplish for many months if not years. The downside however is that they are putting their health at a great risk. Steroid use is not something to take lightly as the consequences of it can last for a lifetime. Not only that but it is not uncommon that when a bodybuilder comes off the steroids, his new found muscle mass becomes a thing of the past. Unless he cycles the steroids really well and keeps up insane food intakes, he will more often than not find it hard to maintain this new body weight. When the weight loss happens, this can put the person through great psychological turmoil. Just as some women suffer from eating disorders and wanting to be thinner, some men suffer from disorders of not feeling big enough. When the weight starts coming off, it affects them the same way as if someone who had an eating disorder started gaining weight. They may go through periods of extreme depression because of the rapid changes in their body that are occurring now in the opposite direction.
